A universal enclosure built with the application and operator in mind

 

AirClean Systems Type C PowderSafe™ balance enclosure incorporates the user-friendly features and chemical fume containment capabilities of the ductless fume hood with airflow dynamics and HEPASafe™ features of the PowderSafe Type B. Thermally fused polypropylene makes the PowderSafe Type C enclosure perfect for powder or solvent weighing, manipulation and enclosing weighing equipment. Fitted with the AirSafe™ automatic safety controller, the Type C PowderSafe has an even laminar flow airstream for accurate weighing.

The entire rear wall of the enclosure is a filtration zone; a clean sweep of all particulate and gases is achieved. This design feature makes the Type C PowderSafe ideal when weighing the lightest powders or the heaviest solvents.

AirClean Systems HEPASafe filter change-out technology, incorporated into each PowderSafe Type C Powder Enclosure, allows the operator to safely and effectively change both the pre-filter and primary HEPA filter. Standard on each Type C enclosure is the AirSafe Automatic Safety Controller. The face velocity on the PowderSafe Type C Enclosures, as preset by the operator, is constantly monitored and maintained by the AirSafe™ Automatic Safety Controller. AirSafe™ monitors the condition of both HEPA filters and provides audible and visible alarms when filter change out is necessary.

How it works


Operator Protection

 

A - Air enters in an even horizontal laminar fashion.

 

B - Contaminated air enters and particulate is removed via electrostatic pre-filtration and HEPA filtration.

 

C - Particulate free air moves upward where it enters the HEPASafe™ filtration area.

 

D - Particulate free air passes into the bonded carbon filtration bed to remove chemical fumes and vapors.

 

E - Clean air is recirculated into the room.
