TOE Probe Complete Care
A thorough understanding of the TOE ultrasound probe and how it should be reprocessed is critical. This knowledge will lead to minimized TOE ultrasound probe damage, improved patient outcome and allow for proper reprocessing that minimize Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs). The overall length of the TOE ultrasound probe and the fragile nature of the transducer make handling of the device susceptible to damage and challenging for the healthcare professional. Care to minimize excessive handling and contact shock to the distal tip should be taken when manipulating the components during all facets of reprocessing. To properly reprocess a TOE probe the technician should be aware of the delicate nature of the various components. The critical difference between a colonoscopy or a gastroscope and a TOE probe is it can’t be completely submerged into the rinse and high-level disinfectant baths. The TOE probe is not water-tight and the complete submersion of the probe could cause serious damage and result in the inoperability of the TOE probe.

Changing how hospitals disinfect TOE Probes
The TD 100CE automated TOE probe disinfector is designed to provide high-level disinfection of transesophageal (TOE) ultrasound probes. The TD 100CE disinfects each TOE probe with TD 8® disinfectant and provides printed verification upon completion of a successful disinfection cycle. Microprocessor-controlled, the TD 100CE is simple to use for any health care professional reprocessing a used TOE ultrasound probe.
Features
Changing how hospitals disinfect TOE Probes
Fast & Easy to Use
The TD 100CE automatically processes high-level disinfection followed by 5 cold water rinses for a total of 17 minutes of TOE probe total reprocess time.
Protects Your Probes
The TD 100CE dramatically reduces the amount of stress and the potential for damage to TOE probes, every aspect of the TOE probe taken into consideration in the design.
Safety
The TD 100CE provides unsurpassed operator safety from exposure to high-level disinfectant vapours, through advanced vapour management filtration system that adsorbs and neutralizes vapours released during the high-level disinfection process.
Warranty
The TD 100CE performs continuous self-diagnostic tests that confirm the result in a printed report after each cycle.
Providing one of a kind solutions
Fast & Easy to use
After inserting an enzymatically cleaned and dried TOE probe into the TD 100CE, you simply follow the clear prompts on the display. This takes less than one minute to enter operator and probe details that will be printed on the verification report along with the contact time and average disinfectant temperature after a successful disinfection cycle. The TD 100CE automatically continues the process of high-level disinfection followed by five cold water rinses for a total of 17 minutes of total reprocess time. When comparing that to the labour-intensive manual process for disinfection and rinsing the TD 100CE is extremely efficient and provides a repeatable result. Additionally, the high-level TD-8 disinfectant used in the TD 100CE is single-use and does not require the staff member to perform an MRC test on the solution to confirm efficacy before high-level disinfection.
Protect your probes
The TD 100CE dramatically reduces the amount of stress and the potential for damage to TOE probes. The system was designed with every aspect of the TOE probe taken into consideration. The control handset is held securely within the TD 100CE, while strain and stress are minimized from the cable and electronic pack adapter with a specially designed hanger and mounts for both. The TD 100CE suspends the TOE probe in a custom-fitted bracket that holds the control handle securely while the insertion shaft of the probe is placed within the disinfection reservoir for high-level disinfection. The TD 100CE is designed to prevent over-soaking as this is the second leading reported damage to TOE probes beyond being dropped or struck by another object. Manual reprocessing can expose your TOE probes to this type of expensive damage.
Protect your staff
The TD 100CE utilizes a dedicated single-use 500ml bottle of disinfectant. The high-level disinfectant container seal is opened inside the machine. The TD 100CE was engineered with an advanced vapour management filtration system that adsorbs and neutralizes vapours released during the high-level disinfection process. Splashes and spills are trapped within the disinfectant reservoir while the fumes are captured by the advanced vapour management system to minimize operator exposure. The TD 100CE uses a fresh bottle of high-level disinfectant each cycle eliminating the need for a health care professional to conduct MRC testing and have the potential of exposure to the high- level disinfectant vapours. The TD 100CE was engineered to provide unsurpassed operator safety from exposure to high-level disinfectant vapours.
